The Foundation is supported by the Scientific Technical Committee (STC). The STC has advisory and consulting purpose, to direct the focus and resources of the Foundation, with attention and dedication. The aim of the STC is contributing to the spread of financial education, as the mean by which consumers and investors can improve their skills and comprehension of various financial products. Through information, advices and other instructive tools, the audience can develop the necessary capabilities to evaluate risks and opportunities, and choose accordingly.The body consists of academics and experts in economics and finance, public debt management, regulation and policies of financial markets, and social science, such as psychology and sociology.

Annamaria Lusardi – Founder and Academic Director of GFLEC
Annamaria Lusardi is the founder and academic director of the Global Financial Literacy Excellence Center at the George Washington University School of Business in Washington DC, USA. She is also the Denit Trust Chair of Economics and Accountancy of the University.
After a BA in Economics from Bocconi University in Milan, Italy and a Ph.D in the same from Princeton University, she was a visiting scholar at Harvard University, and later she has also taught at Columbia Business School, the University of Chicago, Princeton University and Dartmouth College for twenty years. She has won several research awards, such as research fellowships from the University of Chicago and Dartmouth College, 2015 Financial Literacy Award from the International Federation of Finance Museums and the 2014 William A.Forbes Public Awareness Award from the Council for Economic Education. Finally, she has published more than sixty academic articles and chairs the Programme for International Student Assessment (PISA)’s Financial Literacy Expert Group and the OECD/International Network on Financial Education’s Research Committee. Annamaria Lusardi has recently been appointed as President of the Financial Education Committee by the Italian Ministry of Economy Pier Carlo Padoan, in order to determine a national strategy to improve financial literacy in the country.
Nina Gardner – Director of Strategy International
Nina Gardner is the Founder and Director of Strategy International, a consulting firm specialised in Corporate Social Responsibility, sustainability and climate change. After graduating from Harvard-Radcliffe and Columbia Law School, she practiced law in Washington DC, and then joined the UN as a political officer in their Zagreb liaison office in 1996. She is founding president of several women’s associations in Europe and collaborated on the OECD women’s entrepreneurship MENA programme. She is also on the advisory board of the Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society, and the Harvard Coalition for Responsible Investment. Nina Gardner is a member of the New York Bar and the Council on Foreign Relations. She teaches Business and Human Rights at John Hopkins SAIS since 2013.
Giuseppe Attanà – President E-Mid SIM S.p.A
Giuseppe Attanà worked for the Italian Commercial Bank from 1974, in the area of lending decisions and bank marketing, later joining the financial sector in 1992. He was then in charge of the Treasury and Forex Department in Comit, moving then to the Global Treasury Department of the IntesaBci, the Treasury and Property Trading Division in Banca Intesa and finally the Treasury Division of Intesa Sanpaolo Group. He is part of the board of several companies of the ISP Group, and he has been a member of Money Market Contact Group of Bank of Italy. He has been the President of Assiom Forex for seven years, now Honorary President. Currently, he is the President of E-Mid SIM.
Enrico Dameri – LIST Group, Chief Executive Officer
Enrico Dameri is the Co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of LIST SpA, a provider of information technology solutions for the financial securities industry, with subsidiaries in the UK, Spain, Poland, Canada, India and Malaysia, since 1985. He graduated in 1979 in Computer Science “summa cum laude” at University of Pisa. In 1982, he was appointed Researcher at the Italian National Research Council, C.N.R, then Appointed Researcher in Computer Science at the University of Turin. In 1980-1985: Chief of Research Department, then Director of the Research and Development Division at Systems & Management SpA. From 1986 to 1992 he was Invited Professor of “Programming Languages and Methods” at the Computer Science Department of the University of Pisa. Member of the Information and Communication Technology Steering Committee of the Italian National Research Council until 2005. Member of the Board of Directors of e-MID SIM SpA and Member of the Council of PhD School of Computer Science, University of Pisa, until 2017.
Gregorio De Felice – Intesa SanPaolo Bank, Head of Research and Chief Economist
Gregorio De Felice graduated from Bocconi University, he later played an important role in the Italian Bank Association and the European Bank Federation. He was the President of the National Association of Financial Analysts from 2007 to 2010. He is on the board of directors of several associations and foundations (such as Prometeia, SRM, ASSSB, ISPI, AIP, GEI, Bruno Visentini Foundation) and pension funds of the Intesa SanPaolo Group. He has published several articles regarding financial markets, the evolution of the Italian and European banking systems, monetary policy and management of public debt.
Attorney Tommaso Iaquinta – CEO, Once Capital Management Fund
Graduated with a law degree with honours from Università Statale in Milan, a PhD in Public and Economic Law, and a Master Degree in Corporate Finance and Banking in SDA Bocconi University, Tommaso Iaquinta is CEO and Founding Partner of Once Capital Management Fund, a hedge fund based in New York City. He is also founding partner of Livolsi – Iaquinta & Partners, Advisory Boutique for extraordinary transactions (M&A, debt restructuring) on behalf of several companies (listed or not) in Italy and worldwide.
Andrea Santorelli – Bank of Italy, Head of the Financial Investment Directorate (2016)
Working for the Bank of Italy since 1976, he was first part of the External Relations Department, then moved to the Operational Centre of Exchange Rates in 1986. In 1999, he became the Director of the Monetary Policies and Exchange Rates Division. Andrea Santorelli has also been a member of the Markets Committee established by the G10 Committee of Governors in Basel, as well as the Foreign Exchange Policy Sub-Committee of the European Monetary Institute. Between 1990 and 1992 he took part of several missions organized by the International Monetary Fund. Chairman of the Monitoring Working Group from 2002 to 2004, he has published a number of papers and articles about economics and international finance. From 2008, Andrea Santorelli has been the Head of the Financial Investment Directorate.
Angelo Brizi – Strategic Consultant
Angelo Brizi studied Economics and Business Administration at Rome University “La Sapienza” graduating Magna Cum Laude, followed by several international post-graduate courses. During his professional experience he was board member of several banking, financial and asset management subsidiaries of Banca di Roma, Capitalia, UniCredit and the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association “ABBL”.
Former President of the Italian FX and Money Market Traders’ Association (FOREX, and later, ATIC FOREX) and member of ACI–The Financial Markets Association International Executive Committee, he has got more than 36 years of diversified International banking and financial experience, having held also growing responsibilities in Continental Bank N.A., Citibank N.A., BNL SpA and then in Banca di Roma SpA as Head of Global Markets. He was Head of Finance/CFO at FinecoGroup SpA from 2002 through 2005 and CEO of Capitalia Luxembourg S.A. from 2006 to 2008.He was Chief Executive Officer of UniCredit Luxembourg S.A. from August 2008 to September 2012 and the Head of International Private Banking of UniCredit Group and Member of UniCredit Private Banking Executive Committee, later Regional Head of Financial Institutions Group – Italy & Southern Europe for UniCredit SpA, and member of the Global FIG Executive Committee and CIB Italy Executive Committee.Senior Banker dedicated to the Italian Public Sector within UniCredit Corporate and Investment Banking Italy and member of CIB Italy Executive Committee, he currently is an independent strategic consultant for banks, insurances, asset managers and financial institutions, foundations and small and medium-sized enterprises.
Emerico Antonio Zautzik – Head of Directorate of Markets and Payment Systems, Bank of Italy (2017)
Emerico Antonio Zautzik graduated in Political Science at the University of Rome in 1975 and attended the MBA specializing in Finance at the University of Rochester. He is employed by Bank of Italy in 1976.
In 1979 he moved to the Economic Research Department at the Bank’s Head Office, presiding the Monetary Analysis Office (1985) and the Statistics Sector (1990).
In 1999 he is appointed deputy head of the Monetary and Exchange Rate Policy Department, which he took over in 2004. In 2008 he became head of the Central Banking Department. In March 2012 he became Managing Director responsible for Central Banking, Markets and Payment Systems, to which he became Head of Directorate in 2014 until 2016.
On behalf of the Bank of Italy, he participated to several working groups of OECD, BIS, EU and IMF. From 1993 to 1995 he was Vice President of the Eurostat Committee on Monetary, Financial Statistics and Balance of Payments, from 1997 to 1999 he was President of the Irving Fisher Committee, the ISI forum about the statistical activities of central banks.
From 1998 to 2012, he was member of the Market Operations Committee (MOC), later in 2012-2016 member of the Eurosystem IM Steering Committee and ECB Market Infrastructure Board, member of the Markets Committee (2004-2016) and the Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures (2013-2016). He was President of the Bank of Italy’s Investment Committee and Advisory Committee on Pension Fund Management and member of the Committee on Strategy and Financial Risks. Between 2006 and 2012, he was the Bank of Italy Representative in Assiom Forex (Association of Financial Markets Operators).
Since 2017, he is partner of the International Affairs Institute and Honorary Member of Assiom Forex.
He also wrote several publications on monetary and financial economy.
