Global Thinking Foundation (GLT) was born with the mission of promoting financial education, addressing mainly women and vulnerable groups of our society. The Foundation’s commitment is aimed at supporting a culture of conscious savings and the value of money for the economic sustainability of families and economic growth, supporting the global objectives of Agenda 2030 including Goal 8.
Since 2019 Global Thinking Foundation began sponsoring three sport teams, different from each other but equal in spirit and in the mission to spread healthy and responsible economic behaviour through the universal values of Sport and teamwork. This sharing of values gives rise to new opportunities for social inclusion:
#TeamBuilding and Team Spirit

# Respect for rules and personal discipline
# Social commitment and collaboration
# Responsibility in one’s role and towards others
#Resilience and mutual help

The history of Carpe Diem Calolzio begins in 1985 when some friends decided to build a brand-new sport club. The new basketball sport club has been called “Carpe diem” (which means, precisely, “seize the day”), quoting a verse by the latin poet Horace. Since then, the company has always tried to “seize the day”, while at the same time caring for the future, founding a solid youth sector and animating the BluCeleste Project, aimed at optimizing the basketball resources throughout the Lecco area in the north of Italy.
Carpe diem is affiliated with the Federazione Italiana Pallacanestro- Italian Basketball Federation, with a youth sector and a first team that in 2013 won the Regional C championship.
Maxibasket Donne Milano is a project born almost like a game in February 2018, which immediately had an unexpected success and from which a real senior women’s basketball team born.
The team aims to allow former basketball players, aged between 40 and 58, to train continuously, play matches and participate in tournaments at national and international level with teams of the same age. The team trains once a week under the guidance of two highly experienced coaches: a head coach and an athletic trainer. The colours of the uniform, red and white, recall the colours of the Milan coat of arms. The athletes actively participate in the Women Squared financial education courses to fully embrace the spirit of the Foundation.
