The project “Tra Le Righe. Stories of books, readers, and spaces that come together”, supported by the Cariplo Foundation, is aimed at all age groups and seeks to spark, awaken, and strengthen people’s curiosity and interest in reading and the world of books, through the creation of activities, pathways, and events across the city of Milan, specifically in Districts 2, 3, and 4.
The project was launched in June 2023 with a presentation event held at the Stefano Cerri Auditorium, and its objectives are aligned with Goal 4 on Quality Education and Goal 1 on fighting educational poverty.
The central theme of the project is travel, explored in its many forms: books will travel across the city, people will travel with their imagination thanks to books, stories of journeys will be shared, and journeys through time, different forms, and various literary genres will unfold. All this will create an exchange of experiences that nurture personal and cultural growth, while fostering critical thinking to build awareness, full self-determination, and active social participation.
Specifically, the Tra Le Righe project is structured around four key actions, outlined in the posters:
We were the lead partner of the project and coordinated the following actions, achieving important results that we are proud to share with all the project partners: Cogess, ABCittà, Fondazione Cariplo, Fondazione Franco Fossati, and Wow Museo del Fumetto.
Action 1: Books to Explore and Books to Change the World
Action 2: Between Memory and Stories
Action 3: Greetings from… Wonderful Books!
Action 4: A Dimensional Door to Reach Many Worlds
We are proud of the participation and enthusiasm we received through these experiences, which we can summarize numerically as follows:
